Stefania Dahba Awalom

Dahba Stefania Awalom  studied  at the Milano “G.Verdi” Conservatory , obtaining her Conservatory Diploma and the Master Degree in Music Pedagogy and another Master Degree in Harp Performance with full marks. She graduated also at the Milano State Univesity with a a degree in Cultural Heritage - Musicology.

She continued her musical training  in Italy at the Teatro alla Scala Academy,obtaining  her Academy Degree and abroad in international masterclasses .As solo harpist she's been awarded in nine musical national and international competition .She collaborated with various orchestras in Italy playing in Italy and abroad (Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala (since 1998), Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, Orchestra del Teatro "Carlo Felice" di Genova, Orchestra Filarmonica "Toscanini", Orchestra Sinfonica "Verdi",Orchestra dell'Arena di Verona ...), playing under the baton of conductors like R.Muti, L.Maazel, G.Pretre, M.Rostropovich, Y.Temirkanov, sir J.Gardiner, D.Barenboim, L.Chailly, C.Dutoit, D.Gatti, Gergiev, D.Harding, G.Dudamel, P.Domingo, Karabtchevskij, W.Marshall, Z.Mehta, E.Morricone, G.Noseda, D.Oren, A.Battistoni, G.Bisanti, D.Rustioni, E.Pekka-Salonen, W.Chung... playing concerts in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Irland, Malta, Austria, Russia,Croatia, Japan, in the best concert halls  and  theatres of the world:  Teatro alla Scala,  Zurich Tonhalle, Paris Opera Garnier, Paris Philarmonie, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Wiener GroBer Musikvereinsaal, London Royal Albert Hall- BBC proms, Berlin Philarmonie, Tokyo Suntory Hall and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan...Recently, in may 2017 she's been playing with the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra for the G7 summit in Taormina, Italy.She has been playing  also in various chamber music ensembles (such as with the Cameristi  of Teatro alla Scala), playing in various Festivals  like the Teatro alla Scala , the Milano Società del Giardino-Rotary Club, the Milano Circolo della Stampa-Palazzo Serbelloni, Palazzo Bocconi and at the Palazzo Visconti(BG)...and many others.She's been teaching music in  Italy and abroad (Paris); she's been Harp professor at the Trento State Conservatory, and  at Monopoli State Conservatory. Actually she's harp Professor at Ferrara State Conservatory and she collaborates as guest harpist with the Milano Teatro alla Scala orchestra and with the Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra.
